My Story

My name is Sydnee, and I’m a therapist who is passionate about supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful goals. I was drawn to this field through my growing interest in understanding people, relationships, and how emotional well-being impacts everyday life.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, followed by a Master of Education in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, all from the University of West Georgia. Since beginning my career in 2022 at a community mental health clinic, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with individuals and families facing a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns.

I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and empowering. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and reminded that they are not alone in their journey. Taking the step to seek support is courageous, and I’m honored to walk alongside clients as they grow and heal.

My Area of Expertise

I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. My background includes individual, group, and family counseling, as well as parent education and support, which allows me to approach care with a broad and thoughtful perspective.

My work is grounded in a client-centered approach that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I focus on helping clients reframe negative thought patterns, strengthen communication skills, and build practical coping strategies they can use in daily life. I’m especially skilled at creating a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to work through challenges and move toward both short- and long-term goals.

If we work together, you can expect a space where you feel supported, heard, and not alone in what you’re going through. We’ll take things one step at a time, working together to help you move toward where you want to be.

How I Approach Therapy

What's My Vibe

Lorem

I take a client-centered approach to therapy, focused on creating a safe and supportive space where we can work together to explore what you’re experiencing. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help you better understand your thoughts, improve communication, and build practical coping strategies.

My goal is to help you create meaningful, personalized solutions that support your everyday life while working toward the goals that matter most to you.

Therapy with me feels warm, cozy, and safe, both physically and emotionally. I meet you where you are and work alongside you to create steps toward where you want to go. Some sessions may be filled with laughter and feel like a breath of fresh air, while others may involve working through more difficult moments.

There may even be times where we’re not exactly sure where the session is going, but we’ll figure it out together. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and not alone as you navigate your journey.
