Careers

THE COMFY PLACE IS GROWING AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR AWESOME THERAPISTS LIKE YOU!!!

A career at The Comfy Place isn’t just about finding a job that pays the bills (though that is important!). It’s about joining a community of people committed to each other and the clients we serve.

We are seeking qualified mental health clinicians to join our team! We are currently recruiting for associate-licensed and fully licensed mental health clinicians (LMSW, LCSW, APC, LPC, LAMFT, LMFT, LMHC) to provide services to diverse populations throughout Georgia.

We are additionally looking for amazing clinicians in the following states to join our Comfy Place family: New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Maine, South Carolina, and Massachusetts.

Are You Ready To Up Your Counseling Game?

There’s nothing wrong with wanting it all. You became a therapist because you wanted to really help people heal. You’ve invested time, energy, and money. You deserve to work for a company that rewards grit, encourages creativity, and values you.

Let’s Cut To The Chase…What’s The Money Situation?

Okay, so you may be able to earn more if you go out on your own, but maybe not! We pay our counselors a very fair rate, and in exchange, offer a ton of support, training, and flexibility. We basically take care of all the business, administrative, social and marketing details that can easily lead to a new private practice going under or to major burnout.

We care about our team! All full-time employees have access to:

  • Dental and Vision Coverage
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability
  • Life Insurance
  • Continuing Education and/or Training Opportunities (Part-time benefit also)
  • Free supervision towards licensure and monthly clinical consultations (Part-time benefit also)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday Pay
  • Student Loan Reimbursements
  • Access to a 401k Savings Plan
  • Flexible Schedule
  • And additionally, we offer an hourly rate of up to $60/hour (based on experience and licensure)

In addition, we bring a lot of other benefits to the table…

  • We have a structured training and onboarding process that sets you up for success in your first 90 days.
  • We work to help you identify your ideal clients, then fill your caseload with them. It’s just up to you to retain them (and we can help you learn how to do that, too!)
  • We give you almost 100% control over your schedule and the ability to work both in-person and remote.
  • We are committed to anti-racism and inclusion, which we work on actively in the form of trainings, consultation, and team-building activities.
  • We help you stretch and grow clinically and professionally with regular supervision and various networking opportunities.
  • We are there when you feel overwhelmed, need to staff a case, or just want to have a social break.
  • We care about you and we are committed to helping you succeed–not because we have to, but because you matter to us.

Of course, if you’re looking for a job where you can coast and do the bare minimum for top dollar, please don’t apply here. You will be let down.

We are a Company That Believes in Being Uniquely Us

We are a special group that won’t be a good fit for everyone. That’s fine with us! We want people to know who we are and what we stand for. That way, joining our team feels like a, “Hell Yes! THIS is where I belong.”

Still not sure if our Family is the best fit for you, then check out what a few of our therapists have to say about working at The Comfy Place.

Working at The Comfy Place has been such a positive experience for me. Not only do I feel incredibly supported – by leadership, administration, and my peers – but it feels good to be part of an organization that aligns with my values. Inclusivity, empowerment, and activism are important to me, and at The Comfy Place I feel like I have the opportunity to be a positive support in my community. Not only that, but the systems in place for me as a clinician mean that I’m able to focus on my clients and engage in the community without becoming completely overwhelmed. Ultimately, this allows me to show up as my best self for my clients, which means the world.

   – Samantha Dunn, LCSW

I am a Virtual Assistant from the Philippines, and I started at The Comfy Place as a virtual admin. Now, I am the Virtual Supervisor, leading my team. I have been with The Comfy Place for three years, making me the longest-serving employee.

The supportive and compassionate environment makes every day meaningful, and I love being part of a team that truly cares about making a difference in people’s lives. The flexibility, collaboration, and growth opportunities here make it a great place to thrive both personally and professionally. Working at The Comfy Place has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I’m grateful to be part of this amazing team.

What I love most about working here is our boss, Ms. Lisa—she has been there for me through thick and thin. From day one, she believed in my capabilities and has always been there to support and guide me. She doesn’t just treat me as an employee but as family, and that’s what makes The Comfy Place truly special.

  – Marie Torres

Working at The Comfy Place gives me the flexibility to be able to balance work and family life, one of my main priorities right now. I enjoy the freedom to be able to make my own schedule, while also enjoying the support from the team as needed. I feel comfortable reaching out to any of our team members with a question or honestly just to chat for a bit. I am also very thankful for the training opportunities I have had since beginning at The Comfy Place.

   – Andrea North, LCSW, LICSW

As an LMSW at The Comfy Place, I appreciate the autonomy and flexibility that allow me to provide the best care for my clients. The supportive environment fosters a safe and welcoming therapeutic space where I can build strong rapport and meaningful connections. This freedom to tailor my approach ensures that each client feels heard, valued, and empowered in their healing journey.

   – Kelli Burns, LMSW

I enjoy working at The Comfy Place because of the strong sense of community. The team feels like a family, always supporting one another to succeed. I also love interacting with clients and making a positive impact in their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to do something I’m passionate about every day, alongside such a great group of people.

   – Nataly Rivera Arteaga

At The Comfy Place, I am able to discover my passion while growing as a clinician. We are able to create a schedule that fits our personality and personal needs. At The Comfy Place, we not only focus on making the clients feel like family, but also every clinician is treated like family which is something you cannot receive at every job.

   – Janay Holland, PhD, MFT

I loved working at The Comfy Place because it’s focused on healing in a no fuss and stress free environment. The clients benefited when we the therapist were able to make the client our number one priority.

  – Sonya Mentz, APC
