I am so thrilled to see that you have found me today! Seeking help can sometimes seem like a scary or daunting task, but taking that first step to help your child reach for healing takes a great deal of strength and courage. As a therapist, it is my goal to support and encourage you as you and your child go through the healing process.
I have been in the counseling field for a few years now and have experience with providing counseling services and case management to youth in nonprofits and out-patient settings. I graduated from Adelphi University with a Master’s in Social Work. I am currently working under the supervision of Lisa Ibekwe, LCSW, as I work towards becoming a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I additionally am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New York.
I feel that clients can have the best opportunity for long term healing when they are allowed to make the choices for their future. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, have issues with anger and/or behavior, and who may be experiencing difficulty adjusting to various life transitions. I additionally work closely with families to address relationship issues and help them improve communication, resolve conflicts, and help each family member understand one another better.
As a therapist I believe that everyone has a unique story and experience that has led them to where they are today. I aim to share compassion, express empathy, and create a non-judgmental environment for people to connect and heal. My goal is to work together to help you or your child heal from past traumas, overcome current stressors or challenges, and prepare for future life obstacles. I believe that we all have the strength to change, even if we have not discovered that strength yet. With your trust I hope to work with you and your child to guide you through the next phase of your journey.
