Mental Health Counselor and Adolescent & Adult Therapist
Hi, I’m Mo. I am a compassionate and caring therapist who is dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and adults. I am working under the supervision of Lisa Ibekwe, LCSW, as I work towards becoming a fully Licensed Professional Counselor.
I graduated from Long Island University with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I am a new grad who is passionate and dedicated to my craft of helping people on their healing journey. I have experience working within the child welfare system in New York where I closely managed cases for children with developmental disabilities and who have experienced trauma. I developed competence working with children, adolescents, and adults with trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction.
Additionally I from a mixed cultural background with both Italian American heritage and Bengali heritage so I have lived experience dealing with religious biases and religions outside of Christianity. I am passionate about working with people who may be facing challenges or stressors from the expectations that come from growing up in a different culture.
My approach encompasses using modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. Together we will work to help you move beyond the triggers and traumas of your past and into a healthier and happier life that you deserve.
