Adult BIPOC Therapist
Life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, family, friends, and everything we care about. As your therapist, my job is to provide a safe place where you can reconnect with yourself and your life. I am a compassionate, warm, and caring therapists who aims to uplift and empower others. I am passionate about serving the BIPOC (Black, Brown, & Indigenous People of Color) adult population and helping them navigate through life. I also welcome LGBTQIA+ and non-binary individuals and am passionate about addressing LGBTQ issues in the BIPOC community.
I have been practicing in the Counseling field since 2015 and have served the community by providing direct clinical services to adolescents, young adults, and adults. I graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. I then went on to obtain my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas University. I am working under the supervision of Lisa Ibekwe, LCSW, as I work towards becoming a fully Licensed Professional Counselor.
My focus is on delivering trauma informed care with specific focuses on trauma responses, grief, anger, coping with mental health symptoms, social skills, race related issues, and relationships. As a therapist, I believe holistic care is important. Together we will address the mind body connection as we work towards healing. My goal is to help you reconnect with your mind and body as you reclaim your peace through counseling.
I firmly belief in breathing life into a persons dreams. I aim to empower the BIPOC community to know their mind, body, and peace are respected and valued. Healing is important, so let’s start today and build your life the way you envision it.
