Are you tired of feeling depressed, angry, anxious, and confused, or do you perhaps hear negative voices on an ongoing basis, then let’s talk.
Hi I’m Angela and I am a seasoned mental health therapist. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and relationship and family conflicts. In our work together we will explore and process what you are going through while moving you towards becoming emotionally and mentally healthier. At The Comfy Place, we work with individuals, couples, and families to help guide and support them on their journey to living a healthier and more fulfilled life.
I am a veteran, Mental Health Nurse, Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, and Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Florida who believes life can be challenging, but through our work together we can overcome those challenges. I intend to inspire and awaken you by tapping into your inner potential. This awakening creates an environment where you can learn to be responsible for your self-growth, self-healing, and thus thrive. I will help you focus on overcoming the beliefs that may be triggering anxiety, depression, and relationship issues in your life.
I tend to include holistic approaches to the therapy work which includes wellness techniques and mindfulness based approaches. I additionally use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Inner Child Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches to help people thrive based on their individual perspectives.
Life is not simple; however, the way we cope with life’s difficulties will make the most significant difference in building a strong foundation that addresses optimizing our emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental health.
